The first computer bug was an actual bug
On 9 September 1947, Grace Hopper and her team at Harvard found a moth stuck in a relay of the Mark II computer, causing a malfunction. They taped it into the logbook with the note "First actual case of bug being found." The logbook is now on display at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

Grace Hopper was such a legend. The term 'bug' literally came from her lab.
