Apples, pears, and roses are all in the same plant family
Apples (Malus), pears (Pyrus), and roses (Rosa) are all members of the Rosaceae family. So are cherries, plums, peaches, strawberries, and almonds. The family is one of the most economically important in agriculture and horticulture, contributing billions of dollars of produce annually.
