Cleopatra lived closer in time to the Moon landing than to the pyramids

Cleopatra VII ruled Egypt around 30 BC — roughly 2,500 years after the Great Pyramid of Giza was built (c. 2560 BC), but only about 2,000 years before the Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969. The pyramids are so ancient that they are as distant from Cleopatra as she is from us.
